Grup Șerban Holding (GSH), one of the leading players in Romanian agribusiness and the national leader in the production of potatoes for industrial processing, announces its accession to Europatat (European Potato Trade Association), one of the oldest and most important professional organizations dedicated to this sector at the European level. This affiliation represents a strategic step in strengthening the company’s value chain in the cultivation, processing, and marketing of potatoes.
Being a member of Europatat ensures that Grup Șerban Holding is connected to an international community of producers, processors, and traders who shape the development directions of the European potato market. Complementary benefits of belonging to Europatat include access to European-level market analyses and statistics, participation in conferences where data-driven insights and international best practices are shared, and the opportunity to join thematic working groups in direct dialogue with European institutions that set agricultural policies in this field. In a context where quality, innovation, and collaboration are becoming absolute priorities for adapting to current challenges, active involvement in Europatat enables Grup Șerban Holding to anticipate and swiftly align with market trends while bringing a strong Romanian voice to the European-level debates.
According to Eurostat data, the European Union produces over 48 million tons of potatoes annually on an area of approximately 1.3 million hectares, and quality and sustainability requirements are constantly increasing. In this context, Grup Șerban Holding’s accession to Europatat is not only a recognition of its performance, but also an opportunity to create new strategic partnerships and to fully capitalize on the potential of Romanian potato cultivation in the international market.
