Animal husbandry

We continuously monitor the growth and development of cattle and sheep

The group is increasingly defining the Zootechnical field as a strategic line and takes as a starting point the maximum valorization of coarse products resulting from the large-scale cereal cultivation, the establishment of secondary crops in the same agricultural year on irrigated agricultural lands (fodder corn), and the operation of the Feed and Compound Fodder Unit with a production capacity of 7 tons of fodder per hour.

  • Farm dedicated to raising Aberdeen Angus cattle, with a capacity of 1000 heads
  • Farm dedicated to raising Île de France sheep, with a capacity of 1600 heads and a farm dedicated to raising lambs with a capacity of 4000 heads
  • The third zootechnical farm, under development, is a farm for floor-raised laying hens: 10 fully automated laying hen halls, with a housing capacity of 160,000 laying hens and 40,000 pullets and a production capacity of 50 million eggs per year.
The company practices rational grazing with a high degree of technicality. The first grazing method is cover crops. The other method, used on pastures, involves periodic rotation and irrigation of the land in multiple compartments. To increase green mass production and improve natural pastures for rational grazing, we continuously maintain the pasture areas. Both farms allow for the raising of animals both in stabling and on pasture (2,100 ha and 150 ha of pasture). Zootechnics enables the transformation of small margins typically obtained from the sale of cereals and fodder into products with significant margins through the sale of meat carcasses.
