Grup Șerban Holding, a company listed on the AeRO Premium market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange under the symbol GSH inaugurated the Moldavia Poultry Farm on November 25, strategically located on the European road E85, in Orbeni commune, BacăuCounty one of the most trafficked road arteries in Romania.
The event took place in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Florin-Ionuț Barbu, bringing together over 80 guests – officials, business leaders, investors, and strategic partners and members of the press – andmarking a decisive step for Romania’s food securityof Romanianâniei, inmoment when the marketis facing a considerable shortage of fresh eggs.
The project, with a total value of €11.5 millionbenefits from €7.5 million in non-repayable funds allocated through support programs dedicated to the poultry sector. It is one of the most important investments in poultry infrastructurewithin the Romanian infrastructure.designed to increase domestic production capacity and ensure a consistent supply of local eggs.
The farm, spread across nearly 55.000mincludes eight halls for adult laying hens (160,000 heads) and two halls for the rearing of replacement stock (40,000 heads). The annual capacityof production is estimated at 50 million eggs, which will be sold under the Moldavia brand, the new private label of Grup Șerban Holding dedicated to consumers who choose Romanian productsthat are safe and of superior quality.
The investment is guided by a vision focused on modernization and sustainability. The farmmeets European standards on animal welfare and environmental protection, integrates advanced technologies for energy efficiency, and expands Grup Șerban’s portfolio through the launch of the Moldavia brand. At the same time, the project contributes to increasing the added value inof the company’s integrated agri-food value chain and to achieving its long-term development objectives.

The expansion of storage capacities — from 21,500 tonnes today, at 51.500 tonnes in 2028
Afterfollowing the inauguration and tour of the farm, the guests also visited the vegetable storage and processing facilities operated by Grup Șerban in Sascut,together with the unit in Căiuți, which make up currently the most extensiveintegrated cold-storage infrastructure in the company’s portfolio. With a current total capacity of 21,500 tonnes, Grup Șerban is already positioning itself as one of the most important players in Romaniain the vegetable storage segment.
Thisbase will be significantly expanded with the implementation of the new project financed through Measure DR-22 - Investments infor the conditioning, storage, and processing of agricultural and fruit products, for which Grup Șerban has recently obtained the building permit.
Through this major project, Grup Șerban’s storage capacity will reach in 2028, over 50,000 tonnes - turning the company into the largest vegetable storage operator in Romania and ina key playerfor the stability and development of the national agri-food chain.
